Jacksonville DWI / DUI Defense Attorneys

Little Rock Drunk Driving Defense Lawyers

Being arrested for DUI is probably the most severe brush with the police that many people will ever have. It is very easy to underestimate the amount of alcohol you have consumed. While you may believe that you are under the legal limit, police officers are trained to spot signs of inebriation in the way you drive and while talking to you during a stop.

If you have been arrested for DWI/DUI, you are likely confused about what you need to be doing to protect yourself. A good first step is to secure the representation of a skilled DWI/DUI lawyer.

At Rice, Adams & Woodruff, Attorneys at Law, our Jacksonville DWI/DUI defense attorneys can help you pursue the best resolution possible to your DWI/DUI charge. Our firm has been helping the people of central Arkansas since 1964. Our lawyers can help you overcome your legal obstacles.

What Can I Expect After a DWI/DUI Arrest?

The first issue that most people are concerned with following a DWI/DUI arrest is that of a driver's license suspension. We understand that maintaining your driving privileges can be critical to keeping your job, getting groceries and taking your kids to school or the doctor. We can help you secure a work permit that will allow you to drive to and from work. You may also be able to have an ignition interlock device installed that would allow you to drive during a suspension.

Administrative Driver's License Suspension

During your arrest, your license will be taken, and you will be given an Official Driver's License Receipt and Notice of Suspension/Revocation of Driving Privilege that will provide you with driving privileges for the next 30 days. Following your arrest, you will need to request a driver control hearing within seven days. At that hearing, you will be able to argue against receiving an administrative driver's license suspension that would be in addition to a suspension through the court. We can represent you at your driver control hearing.
