Little Rock Workers' Compensation Lawyers

Arkansas Disability Benefits Lawyers

Workers' compensation is a benefits plan set up to help injured workers secure benefits necessary to provide appropriate medical care and replace a portion of lost wages. If you have suffered a workplace injury, the first thing you need to do is inform your supervisor. Following that, you need to have your injury evaluated by a doctor. We can help you with securing the care of a physician with the appropriate experience to help with your injury.

At Rice & Adams, Attorneys at Law, our workers' compensation attorneys can help you secure the benefits you need and deserve under workers' comp. Helping the people of central Arkansas since 1964.

The Workers' Compensation Process

As part of the evaluation of your injury by a doctor, you will be assigned a temporary disability status of temporary total disability or temporary partial disability. That status will apply until you have reached the maximum medical improvement from your injury. At that point, there will be a re-evaluation of your disability, and you will be assigned an anatomical impairment rating by your doctor. That rating will be based on objective medical evidence and could entitle you to a lump sum payment or a recurring benefit.

Third Party Claims

If your workplace injury was caused by someone other than your employer, then that third party may be liable for your injuries in addition to your workers' compensation claim. Many job sites have contractors and subcontractors on them. If one of these other parties was responsible for your injury, we will pursue compensation from them.

Contingency Fees

For clients that we help pursue workers' comp and third party claims, we charge our attorneys fees on a contingency basis. This means we don't get paid unless we secure benefits or compensation for you. Many times, employers will pay half, if not all, of our fees.
